 - Syarat MABIMS sudah dibahas sejak sebelum zaman Jokowi.

- Syarat MABIMS diikuti oleh empat negara Asia Tenggara: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapura.

- Di Brunei, Malaysia, dan Singapura, hanya negara yang berhak menentukan awal bulan hijriah.

- Selama beberapa tahun, hasil isbat pemerintah Indonesia selalu sama dengan hasil di tiga negara tadi. Satu-satunya yang beda ialah pada Ramadan tahun lalu sebab ada khabar hilal terlihat di Aceh (daerah di sebelah barat tiga negara tadi).

- Tahun ini, pemerintah empat negara MABIMS menetapkan 1 Syawal pada tarikh yang sama, ya'ni 21 Maret 2026.

- Filipina dan Thailand, jiran kita juga, menetapkan Idulfitri pada 21 Maret 2026.
